Privacy notice

Last updated 13 October 2026

This notice explains how The Sovereign Order uses the details you give us when you apply for The Circle or join The Academy waitlist on this website.

Who we are

The Sovereign Order is a private members’ organisation based in London. We are responsible for the details you send us. To ask about your details or use any of the rights below, message us on Instagram at @thesovereignorder_ or reply to any email we send you.

What we collect

If you apply for The Circle: your name, email address, mobile number, where you’re based, age range, what you do, your company, your Instagram or LinkedIn, the name of any member who referred you, how you heard about us, and your message.

If you join The Academy waitlist: your name, email address, mobile number, age range, where you’re based and the subjects you’re most interested in.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use them

To consider your application to The Circle and contact you about it, or to tell you when The Academy opens. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time and we will delete your details.

Who sees them

The founders and the founding committee. If you name a member who referred you, we may speak to them about your application. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for marketing.

Where they are stored

Applications and waitlist sign-ups are stored by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website, and are sent to our email inbox. Netlify is based in the United States. Where your details leave the UK, this happens under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep them

If your application does not lead to membership, we delete it within 12 months. We keep waitlist details until The Academy opens and for up to 12 months after, unless you join. If you become a member, we keep your details for as long as you are a member.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or restrict or object to how we use them. To do any of these, message us on Instagram at @thesovereignorder_ or reply to any email we send you.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
